Welcome! We're thrilled that you're interested in becoming a vital member of the Halifax Humane Society volunteer family. The first step to serving with us is to register for an one-hour orientation session below. While doing so, you'll complete a quick profile and then our volunteer department will follow-up with confirmation details.
Orientation Schedule
- Please Note: orientation times/dates may be modified depending on availability
- Orientations are typically held on various Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the month. Please check the calendar for available opportunities.
- As of February 2026, we will begin experimenting with a digital orientation over Zoom. If you are interested in a digital orientation, please use the link below:
