We're looking for experienced Dog's Day Out volunteers to join us for a unique enrichment outing at Daytona Aquarium on July 1!
Please arrive at the center at 8:00 to pick up your dog to bring to the event. This the re-launch of our program so we would like to get pictures and videos of the process to share. We will have all dogs loaded and ready to leave the facility by 8:30.
This special opportunity is the launch of our Dogs Day out program and will feature a small group of shelter dogs visiting the aquarium for an exciting chance to interact with the resident otters through the safety of the exhibit glass. Volunteers will be responsible for handling their assigned dog, supporting positive interactions, monitoring behavior, and helping ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both the animals and guests.
This will be an event with media coverage highlighting this exciting program.
This opportunity is open to seasoned volunteers who have previously participated in a Dog's Day Out outing. Due to the unique environment and public setting, dogs will require confident handlers who are familiar with our Dog's Day Out program and animal handling expectations.
